
Located on the dale of the left bank of the Rhône, halfway between Martigny and Sion, the La Tzoumaz ski resort is part of the 4 Vallées ski area. This ski area is considered as one of the biggest in Europe. A Swiss ski resort, La Tzoumaz offers very agreeable ski-related activities. Skiers can be heliported to Petit-Combin or to the Rosablanche for a pure descent on powder snow. Sledge lovers can go down the exceptionnal 10km long sledge piste. To get to it, you take the cable car to get to Savoleyres at 2354m and also slide down an 848m vertical drop to the bottom of the resort at 1506m. Cross-country fans can follow the Bisse de Saxon-La Tzoumaz, Forêt des Etablons and La Tzoumaz-Savoleyres trails. La Tzoumaz has a permanent boardercross on the Taillay piste, where snowboarders can have the best of times.
